Computing and communication technology continue to make an ever-increasing impact on all aspects of cognition, education and training. Online training involving computers is a growing aspect of the Internet and the distance learning environment.
Educational or training systems development using techniques that involve computers will enable people to access educational materials more readily than before and this will create a great benefit for our society. The people that will develop computer-based education system must have technical knowledge of computers and understand the best way to teach materials using computers. These people will need to understand social issues and gender issues; curricula considerations, graphics, simulations, computer-aided design, computer integrated manufacture, artificial intelligence and its applications including intelligent tutoring systems and computer assisted language learning.
