In America, there is a growing health care paradox: although 72% of all diseases and half of all health issue are preventable, only 3% of all health care expenditures are devoted to prevention.

With costs exploding by 30% per year, it’s time to reevaluate "health care" and its true objective. Health care has had an historical approach that has focused on treatment. But for the well-being of the individual, we need a fundamental re-orientation toward health maintenance and enhancement.

A new health care paradigm where individuals embrace responsibility for their own health and organizations take an active role in supporting them is a very sound approach and will be much more cost effective than a system where the focus is on treatment. People will enjoy better physical and emotional well-being, and our society will realize higher productivity levels and healthier lives. Our entire society will benefit.

The time to move from treatment to focus on wellness is now. Let’s dedicate more resources to prevention and wellness then we now use solely on treatment of preventable diseases and problems.

An antibody, also known as an immunoglobulin, is a large Y-shaped protein used by the immune system to identify and neutralize foreign objects like bacteria and viruses. The antibody recognizes a unique part of the foreign target, termed an antigen. In immunology, the CD4 T-Cell Co-Receptor (CD stands for cluster of differentiation) is a protein complex and is composed of four distinct chains. Bio X Cell offers a variety of monoclonal antibodies, as well as recombinant proteins and isotype controls.
