 Twenty-five years ago there was no social media. There were no search engines, websites, online chats and forums or blogs. These words were not even in our vernacular. But now it is hard to picture a day in our professional or personal lives without hearing at least one of those words or phrases. These words have enhanced our lives so much, but at the same time cannot avoid controversy. Is social media to be blamed for increased schoolmate bullying? Are blogs telling us too much about each others lives? Are we dealing with having too much information available to us? The technology is still so young it is hard to say for certain.
Online chats and forums can provide us with great insights but there may be some risks as well. This is true for any new approach or any new technology.
