Recreational aviation is piloting or flying in a plane or other flying object for fun. There are many ways to fly for fun. There a variety of vehicles people can fly in such as Helicopters, Airplanes, and Hot-air balloons. Air shows often include helicopter rides which provide people with and oerhead tour of the area. Air shows are often performed by pilots of airplanes. Ultra light aircrafts are one or two passenger airplanes that are flown short distances for fun, they usually don’t exceed 70 MPH.
Small airports often cater to the small plane owner which and they may provide hangars and services intended for small plane owners. The lager metropolitan airports usually do not provide these services for small plane owners. The larger airports are focused on commercial aviation and do not want to have the air space around them to be filled with many small airplanes as this may lead to greater complexity.
