Recreational boating is the act of going on to a body of water with a boat for fun. There is range of different boats you can use to go boating. Some people use power boats to go out on to a lake or ocean just to ride or maybe to pull a person on a tube or water Ski. Yachts are big cruise ship looking boats used for recreational activities such as parties or long distance voyages. Sail boats are boats used for recreation that do not use an engine as the primary driving force but rather use the wind to move in certain directions.
We can sometimes understand the wealth of a society by visiting the costal areas. A wealthy society will have more pleasure crafts in the water then working boats. Boats are expensive to maintain and a society must also allow people to have leisure time so that they can enjoy boating for pleasure and for recreational use.
