Theme parks are very large areas of land where thrill rides, games, and food are available. Thrill parks usually have sections for younger children to adults; these sections have age appropriate rides or games for each group. Roller coasters are very popular thrill rides made for children and adults. Roller coasters are like trains in a way, they have a track and the passengers often ride in a line in separate carts. Ferris wheels are also common to see in theme parks.
Themes may range from water park amusements to jungle themes or zoo and amusement ride combinations. Amusement parks try to provide an experience that is not typically available in one’s everyday life. As such people often travel great distances to visit a theme park and theme parks compete strongly with one another for the mind-share of a society.
