One could argue that the Quarterback (QB) is the most important player on the offensive side during a Football game. A QB’s job is to successfully receive the ball from the center, and either run, hand-off, or pass accurately. The QB is in charge of making sure the Football crosses the first down line. A center is a member of the offensive line who hikes the ball to the QB and then blocks the defense from trying to reach the QB or running back (RB). A running back is most important when a running play occurs. Running plays typically occur when the QB hands the ball off to the RB and the RB runs the ball forward as far as possible before getting tackled.
